Richardson, agent. October I— Rangatira, s.s., 174 °tons, Matheson,, for Dunedin, with 32 head of cattle, 197 sheep and part of original cargo from Auckland and Glasgow. Passengers, Mr. and Mrs. Evans and 4 children, Mrs. Smith, Messrs. Heslop and Thorpe.—Watt, Kennedy, & Watt, agents. The s.s. Rangatira, in hauling out of the Iron Pot yesterday, preparatory to proceeding on her trip to Otago, unfortunately got aground near to the breakwater in consequence of one of the hawsers breaking, and as the tide was ebbing, she stuck. It was expected she would be got off at last evening’s tide, and proceed on her voyage.
