Burglary Extraordinary. —On Thursday evening last about 4 o’clock as one of the constables was proceeding to duty he heard a great shouting opposite Mrs. O’Hara’s Boarding House in High-street, Christchurch. He quickly proceeded to the spot and found two brothers (we suppress names) outside a house on the Ferry Boad in a state of nudity and armed with sticks. They informed the constable that there was a burglar in one of the rooms in their house, and requested him to proceed to arrest him. The constable entered the house, taking all precautions for securing the villain who had thus disturbed the sweet slumbers of the unfortunate brothers. He approached the door of the room noiselessly and fearlessly, and removed the barricade which had been erected by the alarmed inmates; he then opened the door and entered, and we will leave our readers to imagine the feeling he experienced when he was placed face to face with a hairy antagonist in the shape of a large tom cat. Th’o ffoender was speedily secured, the neighbourhood became quiet once more, and the constable proceeded to the Station to lodge his tale of a burglarious catastrophe.— Press, August 28. After trying many different applications for months together to no purpose, a lad} - strongly recommended your medicament, and I do assure you \ve feel most thankful to her and yourself for the perfect cure they have effected. My wife is now able to take a walk of four or five miles with comfort. You may publish this letter, and I only hope it may be the means of inducing other sufferers to use your admiral remedies, which have proved a blessing indeed to us.” Such testimonials are indisputable.— (Advt).
