CORRESPONDENCE

To the Editor of the Hawke's Bait Times.

Sir, —Would you be kind enough to inform me through your valuable columns if Captains of Militia are supposed to appear on parade the same ns the subaltern officers. Wo have a Captain to the Waiyana Company, I believe he has been but once on parade since the formation of the company. Perhaps, being a disciplined officer, he lias no occasion to attend. I think it would give more satisfaction to see that officer appear on parade. A MILITIAMAN. Waipawa, Sept. 3rd, 1803.
