DUNEDIN DIVE STOCK MARKET. We take the following from Messrs. Wright, Robertson, & Co’s report:— Every description of stock is marketable ; fat cattle particularly are uncommonly scarce. Stocks on hand very small, and fresh lots are anxiously looked for. Large framed mixed herds—stores—are at present capital property; their value can be reported to have advanced slightly, with a disposition on the part of owners to be careless in selling unless induced by a large price. The same remarks apply to store sheep, especially young ewes and ewes in lamb. The fat sheep market is not likely to advance over present rates until the large lots now on hand by the trade are moved off. Prime beef is from 655. to 755. Second quality is from 655. to 60s. per iOOlfcs. Store Cattle. —Provincial bred cattle over two years old are worth from £l2 to £l4; mixed lots from £lO to £l2; ship cattle from £lO to £l2, according to age and condition. Fat Sheep.—2oo have been sold at Bd. per ib. We quote first quality mutton at from Bd. to Bid. second quality from fid. to 7Jd. Horses. —First class heavy draughts are scarce. First class hacks and light harness horses are in better demand. We quote first-class heavy draught at from £65 to £99, second class do, at from £3B to £SO; first class light harness horses, at from £3l to £55 ; second class do. do., at from £ls to £3O; first class hacks, at from £35 to £SO ; second class do. at from £2O to £3O ; middling and inferior do, at from £l2 to £lB.
