Donald M’Lean, Esq., so long as lie shall hold the office of Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay in the said Colony, the several powers vested in me by the Second, Fourth, Fifth, Seventh, Ninth and Tenth sections of the said Act subject to be rescinded as in the said Act provided and subject to the Regulations issued on the Fifteenth day of September, One thousand, eight hundred and sixty-two and to any other Regulations to be from time to time duly made. Given under my hand at the Government House at Auckland this sixth day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand, eight hundred and six-ty-three, G. GREY. By his Excellency’s command, Alfred Domett, Delegation to the Superintendent of Hawke's Bay under the “ Waste Lands Act, 1858.” By his Excellency Sir George Grey, Knight, Commander of the most honorable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same, &c., &c. TTjrHEREAS by the “Waste Lands Act, ’ * 1858,” the Governor is empowered from time to time to delegate to the Superintendendent of any Province or to such other person as he may think fit, all or any of the powers vested in him by Sections Three, Four, and Five, and also by Section Fourteen of the said Act, subject or not to any limitations or restrictions as the Governor may think fit: Now, therefore, I, Sir George Grey, the Governor of New Zealand, in pursuance of the said power and authority, do hereby delegate to Donald M’Lean, Esq., the Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, all such powers as are vested in me by Section Fourteen of the said Act to be exercised within the limits of the said Province without any limitation or restriction. By Donald McLean, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand. by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled “ The Provincial Reserved Bills Act, 1858,” it is provided that no Bill reserved for the signification of the Governor’s pleasure shall have any force within the Province until the Superintendent shall signify, as therein specified, that it has been laid before the Governor, and that His Excellency has assented to the same : And whereas certain Acts, intituled respectively—“An Act to repeal the various Acts relating to Sheep, and the disease in Sheep called Scab, and to make other provision in behalf of the same,” “An Act to appropriate the Revenue of Hawke’s Bay for 1863-64,” “An Act to constitute a Marine Board for the Port of Napier, to be called the Napier Marine Board,” and “An Act to appoint Commissioner's to adjust certain Claims and matters of Account depending between the Provinces of Wellington and Hawke’s Bay,” were passed by the Provincial Council of Hawke’s Bay during the late session, but reserved by me for the signification of the Governor’s pleasure: Now, therefore, I, Donald M’Lean do hereby proclaim and notify that the above-men-tioned Acts have been duly laid before his Excellency the Governor, and haying received his assent are, under the provisions of the Act of the General Assembly before referred to, in force within the Province of Hawke’s Bay, from the date of this Proclamation.
