CHRISTCHURCH LIVE STOCK MARKET.

Mr. W. D. Barnard reports all kinds of really good horses aro in great demand, the market being quite bare. In fact the horses offered for sale during the week were so inferior that they have with great difficulty been quitted at the prices quoted.

Deaught Hoeses. —Five inferior draught stock from £SO to £75. Saddle and Light Habness Hoeses. —Twenty inferior saddle and light harness, from £9 10s. to £36 10s., averaging £23 10s. per head. At the weekly sale held last Saturday there were plenty of purchasers present, and very high rates might have been obtained for first-class stock of every description.— Lyttelton Times.
