Richardson; 11 kegs butter, 308 lbs), Browne.—G. E. G. Richardson, agent. The brig Squatv, 34 days from Invercargill, bound for New South Wales, anchored outside yesterday, short of provisions. She had encountered contrary winds almost all the time. A vessel, supposed to be the Hirondelle , was becalmed in the Bay yesterday. In our last we alluded to an accident to the Sea Shell, which has been contradicted by the Herald, in toto. Upon personal inspection we find that the breakwater has been somewhat damaged by the splitting of timbers. As to whether the vessel herself received any injury, we are not sufficiently up in nautical matters to give an opinion. We have been informed, however, by the pilot, that she would not answer her helm, as he had been informed, and he therefore let go the anchor, but she afterwards struck the breakwater, and thus caused the accident.
