OTAGO.

On the 16th April, Mr. John Hyde Harris was declared duly elected as Superintendent of the Province. The state of the Poll was 560 votes for Mr. Harris, and 432 for Major Eichardson, being a majority of 128 votes for Mr. Harris. The election of the gold fields members for the House of Eepresentatives took place on Tuesday, 14th April, at Tuapeka. The gentlemen proposed were Captain William Baldwin and Mr. GK Brodie. These gentlemen having been duly proposed and seconded, were elected without opposition.
