IN PURSUANCE of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of Now Zealand, intituled, “The Provincial Elections Act, 1858,” I, John Curling, Esq, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Napier Country, DO HEREBY GIYE NOTICE that by virtue of a Writ bearing date the 27th of February, 1863, issued under the band of bis His Honor the Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Day, an election will bo hold for the return of ONE qualified person to serve as a member of the Provincial Council of Hawke’s Bay for the said Electoral Distinct in lieu of Donald JPLcan, Esq., whoso seat has become vacant by bis acceptance of the office of Superintendent; and that the nomination of candidates will take place at Mr. 11. S. Titfen’s Barn, Greennicadows, on Monday, the 9th day of March, 1863, and that the Poll (if necessary) will take place on Tuesday, 10th day of March, at noon, and that I will declare the same on Thursday, 12th March, at Mr. H.
