The amount of entrance for all the above races will be ten per cent, ou the public money given. In each case the second horse will save his stakes. Mares and geldings will be allowed 3 lbs. No horse to be entered for any event at this meeting except by a subscriber of at least two guineas to the fund. ° Entrances to be made at the Tavistock Hotel, Waipukurau, between the hours of 8 and 10 p.m. on Wednesday, the 11th March, and to be addressed, under sealed cover, enclosin'* the stakes, to the Honorary Secretary. ’ These races will be run in strict accordance with the rules adopted by the stewards of the Waipukurau Course, and which will shortly be published for general information. Subscriptions will be received by any of the stewards ; Mr. B. Ferrers, Napier ; Mr. Rathbone Abbotsford ; Mr. F. H. Drowcr, Waipukurau ; and by all the publicans, inland district. F. H. STUART, late of Stuart, Kinross and Co., begs to intimate that lie will from this date, carry on business, as heretofore, in the old premises under the firm of STUART and Co., as General Merchants, Importers, Estate Agents, &c., &c., and will make advances on WOOL and other Produce on very liberal terms, consigned to his friends in London.
