TO OUR SUBSCRIBERS, ADVERTISERS, AND THE PUBLIC.

Ihe domain! for am! circulation of this the junior newspaper of Hawke's Bay lias, we are happy to take this opportunity of acknowledging, now become so much greater than our most sanguine expectations led us to anticipate that wc are determined to publish twice a week, MONDAY and THURSDAY', instead of as heretofore on Thursday only. By this arrangement we shall he able to allord to advertisers the advantage of two appearances instead of one each week, and being in time for the country mails we shall have the satisfaction of giving to our subscribers the earliest intelligence of all that' occurs of interest both at home and abroad. We shall continue to pursue one undeviating course of consistency in attacking the present most impolitic and weak manner in which the Government deal with the Natives, and in exposing the evils which like barnacles stick to the bottom of our state ship, and render her progress so contemptibly slow. We purpose to support no particular political party, or religious sect, creed, or denomination whatever, hut to bo emphatically the trusty and unvarnished record of the “ Hawke's Bay Times.” This is the title we have assumed, and to illustrate, to exemplify, and to keep pace with the “Times'' we will, without fear and without favor, “ hold the mirror up to nature,” so that “ ho who runs may read.” We intend publishing our next issue on Monday the 19th instant, to which fact we would draw the attention of advertisers.
