IN PURSUANCE of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled tho “The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858,” I, Peter Cheyne, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Napier Country, DO HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that by virtue ot a Writ bearing date the sth December, 18G2, isssued under the hand and seal of His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an Election will be held for the return of TWO qualified persons to serve as Members of tho Provincial Council for the said Electoral District, and that the nomination of Candidates will take place at Mr. H. S. Tilfen’s Barn, Green Meadows, on Friday, the 26th day of December, 18G2, and that the poll (if necessary) will be tak en on Monday, the 28th day of December 18G2, and that I will declare the same on Saturday, the 3rd day of January, 18G3, at Mr. 11.
