AUCKLAND.

We have received our usual files of the Auckland Journals up to the Oth inst., and were favoured by G. S. Graham, Esg., with a Southern Cross of the Bth from which we make the following extracts : The Election for the Superintendency has resulted in the return of Mr. Robert Graham by a large majority. Although the Poll had not been declared, nor indeed had all the returns been received at the Capital, sufficient was known to decide the issue. The New Zealander will be issued daily on and after the Ist of January, 1863. The Auckland cricketers have again beaten the Wellingtonians, in the return match played on Saturday last. The game commenced at half-past nine and was concluded at half-past five, the score, being:— Auckland. Wellington. First innings 82 22 Second do 70 22 Total 152 4-t Majority for Auckland 108 The proceedings terminated with a dinner, the usual toasting and complimenting. About sixty gentlemen sat down to dinner, the chair being occupied by W. -Young, Esq., of Auckland. T lie Auckland Volunteer corps have dwindled away to a mere nominal number, after having done Garrison service during the Taranaki disturbances. There appears to have been some dissatisfaction and disagreement respecting the hours for drill, &c.
