BRISBANE. Tuesday, Oct. 7. The report of the wreck of the A. S. N. Co's steamer Brines of Wales, received this morning has created a profound sensation. The Revenue statement published in the Gazelle gives the revenue for the year £3,021,(31)3 for the quarter £81)0,276. The increase for both the year and quarter, over a quarter of a million sterling. The rush for news by the mail was most extraordinary, There has been no excitement like it since the Russian war. ADELAIDE. October 7. News from the Capo of Good Hope has arrived up to August ll)th. Reliable information is received to the effect that Dr. Livingstone had died of fever, from which all his parly suffered considerably. The Graham's Town Crystal Palace was blown down by a hurricane. Heavy failures had taken place. The Golden Fleece, (5.,) from Calcutta to England, put into the Capo totally dismantled. The Captain washed overboard during a gale.
