DIED.
At the Meanee Hotel, on the 18th instant, Mr. W. P. Powxes. The brig Gil Bias arrived from Napier yesterday, with 65 head of cattle consigned to Mr. Dockland. She went up the Tainaki river to discharge them. She lost twelve head on the passage.— Southern Cross, September 13.
