LOCAL INTELLIGENCE.
The Musical Entertainment of last evening was honored with a large attendance, even to overflowing. The pieces were rendered as well as might he expected, considering that there was no instrumental accompaniment, and a tendency of their trying the patience of the audience from want of variation. Several were encored, and caused much mirth. The nett proceeds, we understand, will be about .£lB. We hear that Judge Johnston will hold an assize by special commission, to try the Native now in gaol, charged with murder.
