TheJGeneral Assembly is gazetted, to meet in Wellington on the 26th June. Seeing the altering circumstances of the colony—in the jace of a rush to Coromandel, and with the native difficulty staring us in the face, we hope his Excellency will consider the matter. At all events the members for Auckland cannot desert the province at this juncture ,• and we warn Mr. Fox that this move is the most injudicious he can take at the present moment.
Petition for Removal of the Superintendent. —This petition has been signed by the eighteen members who voted in favour of the resolution on Thursday night last; and the documents relied on to support the prayer of the petitioners have been appended. It will be presented to Sir George Grey on his return.
