Attempted Murder op Dr. Neel, 65tii Eegt. —A mounted orderly arrived at the Bri gads ofnee yesterday, at about half-past one o’clock p.m., and announced that Dr. Neil, 65th Eegt., had been attacked and stabbed by two of Captain Mercer’s troop of the Eoyal Artillery. The orderly communicated no particulars, except that the outrage took place at Otahuhu. —Southern Cross, Jan. 31.
