PUBLIC ATTENTION is called to Clause 6 of the Dog Nuisance Act, Province of Wellington, Session 4, No. 18, viz., “It shall be lawful for any person - or persons to destroy any unregistered dog or dogs without collars, being at large in streets and public places ; and for any person to destroy or cause to be destroyed such dog or dogs trespassing on his premises.” It is hereby notified that on and after the 14th December, 1861, the Police will receive orders to carry the provision of the Act into effect. Persons residing in the Waipukurau District must send their applications through the Bench of Magistrates there, for their recommendation. MR. HERMAN STAPLETON, late of Mohaka, requests that all claims against him be sent in by the end of the month ; and all debts that are due to him be settled, or else he will be under the painful necessity of taking the usual proceedings, as he is leaving the colony.
