V.’c hear that 11. M.’s 31st and 67th Begiments now forming a portion of the British force in the north of China, are the crops ordered to New Zealand ; the 2nd battalion of 11. M’s 60th Eifles, also at the Peiho, not going down to the colony. The two regiments are single battalion corps, at their full strength, and in robust health from the bracing winter of North China, and will give a strong turn to (hecontest anticipated in New Zealand.— Calcutta En/jJisfiwan.
