IN PURSUANCE of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled “ Tim Provincial Elections, Act, 1858,” I, Peter Bourke, Esquire, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of To Auto, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ bearing date the sixteenth day of October 1861, issued under the hand of His Honor the Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, an Election will be held for the return of one qualified person to serve as a member of the Provincial Council of Hawke’s Bay, for the said Electoral District, and that the nomination of candidates will take place at the Rev. S. Williams’ Wool-shed, at Te Ante, on Monday, the eleventh day of November, 1861, and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on Wednesday, the thirteenth day of November, 1861, and the state of the Poll declared on Saturday the sixteenth day of November, 1861.
