Notice to Advertisers, rBIH-iii HAWKE’S BAY TIMES is published JL every Thursday, and in order to secure for it an extensive circulation no exertion will be spared to effect tins dcsidcPEtuiii It will contain the latest Commercial, Slapping, Local, and General News, the state of the Markets, and other intelligence. Advertisers will, therefore, find the Hawke’s Bat Times a: desirable medium for making their wants known-to the public, and the commercial portion of the community will find it advantageous in giving notice of Merchandise, Produce, Stock, Ac., for sale. The Terms of Advertising iii the Hawke’s’Bat Times are—Threepence per line for the first insertion, and for each subsccutivo one, half price. Advertisements should be left at the office not later than twelve o’clock on Wednesdays for publication the following day, and should contain the number of times they are intended to bo inserted. Advertisements not containing this notification will be continued and charged for until countermanded. Orders for the withdrawal of advertisements should be sent not later than Monday to ensure attention in the next publication. _ Terms of Subscription : —Twelve shillings and sixpence per half year, payable in advance ; single copy, sixpence. Intending Subscribers should leave their names at the Office, Hastings-strcet, in order to ensure, copies being delivered. The Gilbert Merino is distinguished by its strong built vigorous body ; its head and neck are thick, its collar having many folds ; its legs ai’e full clothed to the hoof; its fleece is long, thick, uniformly curled, throughout good, middling fine and uniform. In short, the Gilbert sheep constitutes one of the finest results of rational breeding of the present time, both as regards the beautiful structure of its body and its surprising size, for there are some rams measure upwards of five feet from the muzzle to the root of the tail.
