LOCAL INTELLIGENCE.
I Boat-stealing. —On Friday, the 12th, a boat f belonging to Mr. Bolfe, and lying in front of the t Public Ponud, off Carlyle street, mysteriosly disap- { peared ;on further investigation Mr. Eolfe discov- i ered that 2 masts and sails, 2 sculls, and a boathook, had been removed from behind his house in Car- £ lyle street, and carried off.—On Saturday at halfpast twelve, two men named respectively Kennedy, and Faulkner, were paid off from Messrs. Lingard’s r road party; the same day a 6-gallon keg, and a *■ tent were removed from Mr. Lingard’s; and some beef and mutton from the premises of Mr. Williams Carlyle Tavern.—From which circumstances it is inferred that Kennedy and Faulkner, having previously hidden the boat &c, securely, provisioned her, and dropped out with the tide, between Saturday night and Sunday morning. Nothing has been seen or heard of them since. 1
