BLENHEIM HEAT WAVE

-Pre6i Assooiatien.)

Temperatures of 90 and 9S Degrees

(By TelegrapB-

BLENHEIM, This Day. For the third time in a ; week the shade temperature at Blenheim yesterday reached 90 degrees. The hottest day so far this summer was Christnias Day, when the reading was 95 degrees, topping the preceding day's temperature of ninety degrees. Conditions on the Wairau Plain are again very dry. This is favourable to harvesting, but pastoralists and gardeners are anxious for rain. Campers and motor tourists, of whom there are record numbers this year, are revelling in ideal holiday weather.
