Considering the difficulties of such an enterprise, and the dangers to which the "farmers" are continually exposed from attacks by sharks, octopi, montarays and devil-fish, it is not surprising that the price of sargasso is very high and that a good sea farmer can make from £20 to £70 a day gathcring the preciou's pl&at, s.„
