FOUR-DAY TESTS
DRAWN GAMES IN 1938 OFFING LONDON, Nov. 1,7. The Britisb Board of Control for Tests has decided that the matches next summer will be four days, with the last played to a fihish if, after the conclusion of the fourth, the difference ir.- matches is not greater than one. The change Is designed to keep interest in the rubber to the end. It will prevent a repetition of happenings in 1935, when South Africa won the second Test at Lord's and concentrated on drawing the next two," said a prominent M.C.C. official. An effort is bsing made to have Test matches begin at 11.30 a.m. each day instead of at 11 a.m., as is the rule after the first day. It is contended that it is unfair to ask men to play 25 hours' cricket before lunch.
