Improved Equipment Proposed

Tke railway companies' programmes for 1938 include a number of extensions of the improvement's already carried out to the signalling equipment of parts of their systems. The substitution of coloured lights signals for the semaphpre tj'pe is one of the principal improvements. •On the Great Western line a device t'or automatic train control, already in use over a considerable length of the routes, will be extended to the whole of the mail-line routes. amouutingr to ' 2840 mileR, ....
