CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. A month's imprisonment was the sentence imposed on Stanley Edward Dyer, a labourer, when he was charged with being intoxicated iri charge of a car on December 24. Sub-Inspector Maclean said that Dyer had been convicted and had his licence cancelled until January, 1938, when he was charged with a similar offence this year. Dyer was married with a family, but being on sustenance could ill afford either drink or the expense of the rental car- which he obtained,
