For the information of those who wish to visit the cape, a list ,of high tide times at Clifton for the next week has been supplied. For the walk or bi* cycle ride of about five and threequarter miles along the beach to the cape, it is advisable to leave Clifton about two or three hours after the high tide. Following is the list: — December 31, 4.25 a.m.; January 1, 5.12 a.m.; January 2, 5.53 a.m.; January 3, 6.31 a.m., January 4, 7.8 a.m.; January 5, 7.45 a.m. The beach at Clifton is becoming very popular as a bathing resort for parties of visitors to the birds. Latel.v there have been several swimming parties at the beach who have obviously come for the swimming alone, as they do not visit the cape.
