; Ranganui, Last Night. 1 The outstahding feature of the cricket match concluded here to-day between Victoria University, Wellington, and the Wanganui representative team was the splendid stand made by Gleh Hook, the ex-Aucklander, who played recently for the Country team against Town itt Wellington. Hook made 204 rufis ifi tWo koura find a-half in Wanganui 's seCond innings. His first century was compiled in 75 minutes and his total included 27 fourS and fiVe SixCS. His effort gave Wanganui a chance to win what looked like" a foregone loss, but the side's bowling strength was not good enougk and the match was drawn.
