VANDALS BUSY AGAIN
Further Raid on Maddison Baths A further iudulgence of the irresponsibla and unreasonable action of a CCTtain section of the comwunity, who during recent months have been dapiaging public buildings and reserves, is reported, and once again the Maddison Baths, the headquarters of the Heretaunga Swimming and Life-Saving Club, was the venue. Barely 10 days ago the baths were entered and about £1 in coppers was taken out of the office and tossed into the baths. On Christmas Eve a similar happening occurred, though on this occasion it was not pennies, but bunches of admission tickets that were scattered in the swimming pool. As on the previous occasion, all the locks were foreed and damaged, while the keyp were flung into the swimming pool, which was only half-full on this oecasion, as a holiday was being observod on Christmas Day, and the opportunity was being taken by the club to refill the swimming pool. The remarkable feature of the visitations is that those responsible derive no actual gain from tlieir actious, whieh are witliout reason.
