Dr. Erio Caro, of Wellington, ia at present visiting Napier. Mr Donald Woods, of Auckland, is on a holiday visit to Napier. Mr and Mrs J. List, of Opotiki, and formerly of Hastings, are on a holiday visit to Hastings. Mr N. Collinge, of Wanganui, and i formerly of Hastings, is on a holiday visit to Hastings. Mr T. A. Hislop, Mayor of Wellington, is spending a fishing holiday at Taupo. Mr E. L. Cullen. M.P., left Hastings to-day for Nuhaka where he will spend a few days fishing. Mr J. Mavie, an English journalist, who is on a world tour, arrived in Auckland on Monday from a trip to tlie Islands in the Matua. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Macky, of Auckland, are visiting Napier. Mr. Macky is organising director of the Auckland Travel Club. Dr. D. G. McMillan, M.P., who has been an inmate of a private hospital for some days, is progreesing favourably. The Rev. Father T. MeLaughlin, S.J., of St. Ignatius College. Riverview, Sydney, arrived in Auckland by the Niagara on Monday. He is the guest of Bishop Liston and while in Auck-. land will conduct a retreat. Mr Justice Clancy, of the District Court, Sydney, arrived in Auckland on Monday in the Niagara^ and will proceed to Suva. After a stay in Suva of about a week he will return to Auck- : land, remaining for a little over a week before returning to Sydney. His Honour) who is the youngest judge in Australia, was a barrister in Sydney six years ago, when he was appointed to the judiciary.
