MELBO CTvNE, Dec. 27. J The Caulfield races were held to-day. i Eesults: — HOPETOUN HANDICAP. ' DUNLOE, 8.1 (Marlin) 1 Gay Circle, 8.5 (Wilson) 2 Barapic, 7.3 (Simonds) 3 Eleven started. Length and a-half each way. Time, 2.18 1-5. MALVEKN HANDICAP. IVA, 6.9 (Ralph) 1 Kanuri, 8.1 (O'Brien) 2 Donaster, 9.9 (A. Eeed) 3 Seventeen started, including Palatlnate, Epigram and Namakia. Head; oue and a-quarter lengths. Stevenage was fourth. Hands Up and Midacre were unplaced in the Oberon Steeplechase, which was won by Boomberry. Mr. W. Kemball's Lord Quex filly, Amiable, won the ChriBtmas Handicap, of six furlongs, comfortably by .two lengths from Miss Burn and Finch.
