A poliee raid on a luxurious gambllng resort xnakes an exeiting seene in "Criminal Lawyer,5' melodrama featui;ing Lee Traey and Margot Graliame, at ihe Waipawa Rege'nt on Wednesday night. Lee Traey has the title role as a brilliant but unserupulous attorney whose political and xomantic aspirations clash with his underworld background and result in a series of tense dramatic crises. Margot Grahame and Betty Lawford have the principal feminine roles as secretary and spoiled society girl respectively, who are both captivated by the attorney 's cliarm. Eduardo Ciannelli, Erik Rhodes, Erank M.. Thornas, Wilfred Lucas, Theodore Von Eltz and other well-fcnown players are ln the c-.ast of this production by Cliff Keid.
