ACCIDENTAL DEATH

Inquest Into Death of School-Teachers A verdict that death was due to a gunshot wound accidentally self-inflict-ed was returned by the district coroner, Mr G. Ebbett, J.P., in an inquest at Hastings on Friday afternoon intp the death of James Henry Francis Sugden, who was f-ound dead beside a fence on St. Lawrence Station, Otane; on the morning of December 6. The deceased, who had been a guest on the station, did not return after going out shooting the previous day, and when a search was organised next morning, his body was found, with the gun lying alongside. He was a schoolteacher residing at Auckland.
