Unusually Quiet Holiday DEATHS THROUGH ACCIDENTS (Received 27, 11.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, Dec. 26. Christmas in the United States was an unusually quiet holiday. There were no major disasters. Four generations of the Roosevelts celebrated Ghristmas at White House. Mrs. Roosevelt did not participate, but instead visited her daughter and grandehildren in Seattle. Yiolent deaths throughout the nation (.otalled 135 at midnight, being mostly due to traffie accidents. New York streets and subways wero almost deserted during the day. Then was no rain.
