Apparently Run Over by Car

DUNEDIN, Last Night. James Cathirin McKenzie, single, aged 67, who lives in Macandrew road, was found propped against a building at the corner of Vogel and Gordon streets at 1 a.m. on Saturday and died in hospital at 4.40. He was pieked up m the middle of the road by two young men wbo removed him to the footpath, believing him to be intoxicated. An inquest was opened and a postmortem examination ordered. This revealed that deceased had several ribs broken and a slight rupture of the lieart, the nature of the injuries being consistent with his having been run over by a car.
