TWO 'MAIDS WEAR PEACH PINK NEEDLERUN LACE

TAAFFE— WILLIAMSON The wedding was solemnised at the Sacred Heart ChurcS Hastings, this morning, of Florence Olga, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs J. S. Williamsoir, Grey's road, Hastings, and Alfred Frank, only son of Mr and Mrs W. P. Taaffe, of Marton. The Rev. Father Macdonald officiated at the eeremony, and Madame Lelievre presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a very attractive gown of white needlerun organdie lace mounted on satin. The corsage was slightly ruched in front and was finished with a mediei collar while the long fitting sleeves were full at the shoulders. The skirt was very full below the knees with a train at .the back. She wore a plain white tulle veil with a halo of tulie and orange blossom and carried a sheaf of St. Joseph lilies, the gift of a friend. The two bridesmaids were the sisters of tlie bride and bridegroom, Miss Inez Williamson and Miss May Taaffe. Their gowns of peach pink organdie lace were an exaet replica of the bride's gown but having no train, and the waist was defined with a sash of ruby red velvet ribbons. Flowers i • the same deep red shade were used in their bouquets and to form the little head bandeau whieh was worn with a stiffened eye-veil. The best man was Mr Wyn Geenty,. and the groomsman Mr Jack Williamson. The wedding reception was held at the Rialto tearooms, where tho guests were received by the bride's" parents. Mrs Williamson wore an ensemble of navy eloque with a vest of navy and white stiffened lace. She wore a navy hat and carried a bouquet of pink carnations. When the bride and bridegroom later left for their honeymoon the bride. travelled in a suit of light navy matelasse with pointed trimming on the eoat. She wore a blouse of beige georgette with pleated jabot, navy hat and accessories. Among the many beautiful wedding presents was a crystal bowl presented to the bride by the staff of S. D. J. Cohen's, and from Mr Gohen a wrist watch. Visiting relati/es present at the wedding were: Mr and Mrs J. Williamson, Mr and Mrs D. Williamson, Mr and Mrs Bruce Short (all from Feilding), Miss Lester (Auckland), Mrs and Miss McGregor (Ridgway), Mr and Mrs Hopkins and Mr and ..rs Inglis (Marton).
