No Special Privileges

LONDON, Dec. 3. The King hps made it known as his wi'sh to members of the Eoyal Family that they should not ask or seek special traffic privileges except when they are performing official duties. This includes car-parking. In fxxtxire royal cars will be parked in the same way as others when visiting places of amusement or friends' homes in congested traffic areas. On October 14 one huixdred taxidrivers drove slowly in a "protest" procession from Leicester Square to Piccadilly Circxxs. They caxxsed traffic hold-ups. They. alleged that when the Duchess of Ivent dined with friends at the Cafe de Paris her ear was allowed to rexnain oiitside — thoagli there is a garage nearhy — wlnle taxicabs were moved on. Since then taxicabs have parked as u&xxal outside the cafe.
