Christmas Day for 1937 will he remembered possibly ... as the hottest Christmas in the history, of Hastings. The temperature reading hy the Government ohserver, Mf. H. Nelson Fowler, at Cornwall Park, was 88.2 degrees, or over four degrees higher than the exceptionally hot day experienced about two weeks ago.' The recording or Saturday is one of the highest in recent years, and the highest ever recorded during the Christmas holiday period. Yesterday. the atmosphere became more hearahle as the result of a light hreeze, there being a drop in the temperature of ahout 10 degrees.
