Rising Tide of Imports EXP0RTS INCREASE

WELLINGTON, Last Night. Overseas trade returns for the November period issued yesterday by the Customs Department show that export values for the 11 months reached the high level of £62,296,000, indicating that the total for the ealendar year will be a Tccord. A further substantial ris;j in imports to £53,552,000 for the 13 months has brought the visible balance down to £10,744,000, as against £12,589,000 for the corresponding period of last year. Exports for the 11 months show an increase of £9,865,000 over those for the corresponding period of last year. and are £19,865,000 in excess of thosu lor the 11 months of 1935. f. Imports for the 11 months ended No> vember 30 are valued at £51,552,000, an increase of £11,710,000 over those for the corresponding period of last year, and £18,449,000 above those for the 1.L months of 1935.
