SPORTING FIXTURES
Attractions for Hawke's Bay Holiday-Makers Sporting and other clubs and organisations in Hastings and Napier have arranged a fine programme of attractions for the holiday period in Hawke's Bay, particularly for Boxing Day. Visitors, and those people who will be not leaving the district for the holiday period, will have a variety of attractions to seleet from in their quest for entertaiument and amusement in tho open-air. Among the sporting fixtures arranged for Monday are the following: — Cricket. — -Hawke's Bay v. Wairarapa at McLean Pork, Napier. Hastings v. Napier juniors at Cornwall Park, Hastings, and at Napier. i Tennis. — - Hastings Lawn Tennis Club's annual championsliips tournament commences at the Whitehead road courts, Hastings. Races. — Waipukurau Jockey Club's race meeting at Waipukurau. Greyhound racing. — New Zealand Greyhound-racing ehampionships at League Park, Napier. Bowling, croquet " and tennis. — Though no competitions Or tournaments have been arranged these playing areas will Le open during the week-end. >
