Heretaunga Building Society The chairman, Mr G. A. Maddison, presided at the annual general meeting of the Heretaunga Building Society. In rnoving the adoption of the report and balance sheet, he made reference to tho satisfactory progress made during tho past year, the business transaeted comparing f avourably with that of the previous year. After writing-off preliminary expensea entirely, and carrying £200 to reservc, ho pointed out, tlie directors were ablo to recommoncl a dividcnd of five pc.r cent per annum for the half-year ended October 31.
