Heretaunga Carnival The weekly carnival of the Heretaunga Swimming and Life-Saving Club was held at the Maddison Baths, Hastings, last evening. There was a big attendance of the public, the covered stand being packed, and the greater part of the opposite stand was occupied. The programme was most enjoyable in every respect, there being big fields for each event and competition was exceptionally keen, with the result that many exeiting fmishes were re'corded.
