Timber Mills Closing.
Although a prosperous Christmas is generally expected on the West Coast, it appears that the workers employed in the saw-milling industry will not share in it, because of the continued elackening-off of orders for timber. The mills are finding it impossible to keep working full time, and the great majority are giving their employees a long enforced vacation for Christmas, ■
