(Eeceived 22, 12.40 p.m.) NEW YOEK, Dec. 21. A significant exchange of telegrams is reported between Mr Alfred Landon, Mr Eoosevelt's Eepublican opponent in the last Presidential election, and Mr Eoosevelt. Mr Landon assured the President of his co-operation and support in foreign policy. He added: "There must not be demogogic playing at politics at the expense of the country 's nnity in a dangerous situation such as ' is now confronting us. " Mr Eoosevelt, in replying, said: "We Americans have rejected every suggestion thht ultimate security can be assured by closing our eyes to the fact that, whether we like it or not, we are part of a large world of other nations and peoples. We owe, as such, some measure of co-operation and even leadership in maintaining standards of conduct helpful to the ultimate goal of general peace."
