PORANGAHAU SCHOOL

(From Our Own Correspondent.) PORANGAHAU,. Last Night. The Porangahau School held its annual break-up ceremony on Friday afternoon. Each pupil was presented with a gift hook and treated to afternoon tea. The pupils and teachers presented Mr Black, chairman of the school comr mittee, and Mrs Black, with an electric toaster in recognition of their services to the school. The Standard VI. pupils presented Mr Black with a glass dish. Mr Black has been connected with the Porangahau School committee for nearly twenty years. There was also a display of handwork and sewing. A number of parents attended and extended to Mr and Mrs Black their best wishes.
