The Hawke 's Bay Education Board has made application for approximately 44 acres of the Marewa bloek for a school site. The Napier Harbour Board yesterday adopted the recommendation oi' its reserves committee that, as the bnard had no power to sell the freohold of land, the Education Board be advised to acquire tbe area nnder provisions of the Public Works Act. A request by the Waiapu Diocesan Office, Napier, for an area of half an acre at Marewa, to be set aside for a church site, was referred to the works * committee.
