COST OF CALLING OUT THE BRIGADE
"Tb costs at leaat £5 every tiine the brigade is ealled out," said Mr E. Henderson, supermtendent of the Hastings Fire Brigade, last evening, when eommenting upon false alarm calls made npon the brigade. " There is also the great inconvenience caused to the (iTe-fighters themselves, as well as the fact that possibly they may be out attending a false alarm when there is a genuine call made, in much,, the same manner as happened this evening."
