SWIMMING
Mahora Club Meeting The weekly meeting of the committee of the Mahora Swimming Club was held last evening and was presided over by Mr J. C. Taylor. It was deeided that the weekly carnival be held as usual on the Thursday between Christmas and New Year, the programme to be the same as for this week. The programme for Thursday 's cainival was drawn up as follows: — Junior boys' 50 yards, junior girls 50 yards, iutermediate girls and womens' 50yds, intermediate boys' 75 yards, backstroke 50 yards, senior men's 100 yards, footballers' relay, junior diving, novelty, teams race, polo match. The compulsory dives for this carnival are low board: Half-screw forward running, standing plain header forward. Top board: Eunuing plain header forward with tuck. The speeial trophies given by Mr J. F. J ones for the boy and girl gaining the most points in swimming events in Ihe past three carnivals were awarded to V. Watkins (boys) a.nd N. Simonson (girls).
